Game Jam 2015

The annual Tarsier Studios Game Jam has just drawn to a close, and what a jam it was too! Half a week spent fiddling with new ideas, new teams and, ultimately, four new games (well, game beginnings anyway). Aside from being a lot of fun, game jamming provides us with a valuable burst of energy and gets the ball rolling on potential new projects. As ever, we don’t want to keep the results locked in the attic, so we thought we’d share what we’ve done. If you wanna see more, give us a shout! We’re always happy to oblige! :)

Down and Out in Chat City
In this turn-based brawler you have to defeat groups of enemies by choreographing your own fighting moves.

Far Out West
A top-down adventure game that challenges players to use both brains and blasters to make their way through the savage desert landscape.

A Samurai Game
One last battle between two old samurais who’ve clearly seen too much.

Those are surprisingly polished for jam games. I really like “Pair-O-Medics” and “Down and Out in Chat City”. I really hope you guys develop these and release them for the public, even if they aren’t fully complete!

If you like Down and out in chat city, you should look up a game caleld Toribash, it’s the same concept

i think a multiplayer game with the way of controlling your character like in down and out in chat city would be better than toribash.

    • Cheers! We had loads of fun making all of them, and are definitely up for releasing some or all of them some time in the future. We’ll let you know more once we know more! :)

    how do we play these??

    • Dave Mervik

Unfortunately, they are unreleased at the moment, so you can only play them in your imagination! :) However, we are currently looking into the possibility of releasing them to the public, so keep your eyes peeled and we’ll see what we can do!

      • Still currently looking into the possibility for 7 months?

I’m just going to assume you’re not releasing these, which is very disappointing.

Samurai game looks interesting. Played a lot your «Rag Doll Kung Fu» on PS3 and miss it on PS4.
