LittleBigPlanet™ Vita announced at E3!

Ta daaaaa!

Yes, it’s true. Finally, we can unbutton our mouths! We’re making a brand spanking new instalment of the LittleBigPlanet™ franchise for the PlayStation® Vita, together with the technical ninjas at Double Eleven.

While we can’t say too much just yet, we’ll be releasing loads of info as it is made available; including developer diaries, gameplay videos, and even sticker albums. Alright, maybe not that last one!

Keep your eyes fixed on our Blog for all the latest tidbits and morsels. We promise you won’t be disappointed!

And oh, don’t miss out on this delicious announcement trailer:

I wish to know three things:

    – Will it be cross-level with PS3, infecting the portable community with that community’s cancer? (H4H, clans, etc.)
    – Will you keep the PSP’s superior static/dynamic system, or move to dark matter?
    – Because the Vita will have trophies, will you see to it that no trophies inspire H4H, P4P, or other abusive systems? (Trophies for hearts or plays will create these systems, Mm failed to learn this and thus created H4H.)

If you are wondering why I am so critical, it is because I am a LBP PSP creator (I had a level featured, Blue Blitz) and am hopeful you will keep the things that made LBP PSP so enjoyable for me. I’m honestly quite worried that this will simply introduce the portable community to the flaws of its big brother.

    Looking forward to it regardless!

Glad you’re looking forward to it Stephen! So are we! We can’t really go into that much detail at this point, but what we can say is that we are fairly aware of existing issues and that we are very keen on taking in as much feedback from the community as possible.

Apart from having worked with the franchise for a long time, we also have some of the best community creators working with us to ensure that we get it right on all accounts. Please bear in mind though that this is a new game, on a new platform, which brings with it its own identity and approach. Stay tuned for more info as time flies!

Cool! Any chance this will be shown off at the San Diego Comic Con? I’ll be going this year and would love to check this out.

Is there any such possibility that you would be available for a HUGE fan interview? The game looks amazing, and I have been scrounging the internet for all the information possible on the game. It would be awesome if I could get some questions answered :)

I AM A HUGE FAN AND I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW WHEN IT IS COMING OUT IN THE U.K. AND HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST? I HAVE SEEN THE GAMEPOLLAY AND IT LOOKS AMAZING! I LOVE THE MINI-GAMES AND THE REAR TOUCH PAD CONTROLS
THAT YOU’VE USED IN THE GAME.
